There are plenty of details to be taken care of when it comes time to plan the perfect wedding.  From choosing the perfect dress to finding the most delicious wedding cake, there is plenty to do.  One of the most important parts of planning a wedding, however, is choosing the right wedding invitations.  That is because sending out the wedding invitations and receiving the response cards is key to so much of what follows.

Until you have an accurate count of how many people will be attending the wedding it can be difficult to go forward.  Without that count you will not know how large the reception hall will need to be, how many hotel rooms you will need for out of town guests or how much food to order from the caterer.  Getting the wedding invitations out on time is absolutely critical to properly planning the wedding.

No matter what type of paper you choose for your wedding invitations it is a good idea to consider the type of print you want and the font you plan to use.  With literally hundreds of fonts to choose from this can be a tough choice, but it is important to look at those choices carefully.  It is also important to use the same font consistently throughout the entire wedding invitation, including the outside envelope, the inside envelope and the RSVP card.  Using the same font and typeface for the wedding invitations will result in a pleasant looking document that is easy to read.  Items of special interest, such as the location of the wedding and reception, the deadline for RSVP responses and any special instructions can be bolded, italicized or printed in a larger font, but keeping a consistent look and feel is important.
